Origami Nazugul

Did you go to the movie "Load of the Ring".
Mr.Jason Ku who is an origami artist(his homepage) created a character of the movie.
It is Nazgul.
The diagram is published in Tanteidan Magazine Vol.129. Then, I tried.

The size. Paper size is 55cm * 55cm.

"Nazgul" is "nazg" plus "gul".Nazgul is on the black horse.
In this work, gul and horse are on one sheet of paper.
Maybe "gul and horse is" is correct direction.

Minotaur from "Works of Satoshi KAMIYA 2"

Last Saturday, I bought new origami book.
The title is "Works of Satoshi KAMIYA 2".
"Works of Satoshi KAMIYA 1" was very very difficult.
What about Part2 ?

Today, I tried Minotaur.Minotaur(Wikipedia)

Uh...,difficult!
It looks like hands part is difficult.
But, the most difficult part is bull's head.
I used a 30cm*30cm paper and the head became small.
Then, the head was difficult.I took a picture with care as you can not look bad part.

This is my easy studio.
I just pasted black paper in a corrugated carton.

Minotaur is small, isn't it?

Crown mask from "Works of Hideo KOMATSU"

I tried to fold CrownClown Mask today.
This was easier than outward appearance.
There are two colors,still this is only one sheet of paper.
Front color and back color were used.
The technique called "inside-out".

And light up!

The eyes are shining.
Wonderful!!

Bahamut

This is the Bahamut.
One of the most complex model in "Works of Satoshi KAMIYA 1995-2003".
The book is very expensive and difficult contents.
I like the book.
This Bahamut was made of only one sheet of square paper.Do you amaze?
The paper size is 50cm*50cm.
I folded the big paper about 6 hours.I was tired.
But I was very excited.

Woody Master Yoda

In Japan, there are famous miscellaneous goods shops called "Tokyu Hands".
I found a very good paper in the shop.
It was bonded a thin paper and a wood what was sliced very very thin.

I folded it to Master Yoda.Wood texture is very good.

Pegasus

I folded this Pegasus previously.
I could make this work better than the pegasus of the past.

In Japan,2012 is the Dragon year.This Dragon is not square.
It is a rectangle paper.
Long paper lengthens the neck.

On the wings of love

Origami Heart with wings.
This is easy and beautiful.
It is used a technique called "In Side Out".
"In Side Out" is famous skill that uses both the front and back of this paper.
So, two colors can be represented by a piece of paper.
It's wonderful, isn't it ?
