Wood? or Paper?


Is this object made of wood?
The answer is yes and no.
This is Origami, but the paper was pasted wood that is very very very thin. I fold it Yesterday too.(Woody Master Yoda)

Yesterday, I used only one sheet.
Todya, I folded thirty sheets.
So this object made from thirty origami parts.
I took three hours to finish.

Woody Master Yoda

In Japan, there are famous miscellaneous goods shops called "Tokyu Hands".
I found a very good paper in the shop.
It was bonded a thin paper and a wood what was sliced very very thin.




I folded it to Master Yoda.Wood texture is very good.
"May The Wood Force Be With You."

Cyclommatus metalifer



Origami Stag Beetle.
This insect is called Cyclommatus metalifer.
This stag beetle is not in Japan.
It is interesting that the paper folding that is the culture of Japan expresses the one in a different country.
